Scientific Empowerment Movement - Building Diversity in Science

The Scientific Empowerment Movement (SEM) is a nationwide event geared at recruiting high school students and encouraging their pursuit of STEM careers in undergraduate school and beyond.

This conference challenges the stereotypical dogma of science past. It uniquely combines science with pop-culture by including motivational speeches and performances given by musical artists, entertainers, and professional athletes. SEM explores the careers open to those with STEM degrees and fosters the lifestyle and study skills needed to navigate undergraduate school.
